The herbs are grown with tender, love and care in Springbrook, one hour from where I bring the Balance therapeutics to life in Brisbane, Queensland. These herbs are not exposed to any pollutants, pesticides, or any other chemicals. Instead they are grown and nourished with certified organic potting mix and fertiliser.

Passionflower is a sedative and nerve relaxant for insomnia, restlessness and anxiety. Passionflower can address feelings of nervous tension, irritability, prolong sleep time, overcome disturbed sleeping patterns from excessive worrying and relieve feelings of exhaustion from mental fullness.
Studies have determined that passionflower can increase levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA),
a neurotransmitter that regulates moods and induces feelings of relaxation.

Chamomile can provide relief from restlessness, irritability, insomnia, anxiety, address digestive upsets such as indigestion, flatulence, gastrointestinal spasms, and abdominal pain.

Lavender is utilised for the nervous and digestive system as an antispasmodic, carminative, and sedative. Lavender aroma can induce feelings of relaxation and tranquillity whilst the herb itself may relieve feelings of digestive upsets, mild nervous disorders and act as an external agent to reduce inflammation, acne and pimples.
Lemon balm is cultivated throughout Europe and was historically utilised to strengthen the brain, reduce feelings of melancholy and improve memory. Lemon balm is a sedative herb that can induce feelings of tranquillity, relax the nervous system and ease the velocity of the mind. Lemon balm can assist with manic thinking, rapid heart palpitations from anxiety and may also improve cognitive functions.

Siberian Ginseng contains chemical compositions that counterbalance the effects of stress. It can adapt the body and mind to psychological, physical and environmental stress. Gotu Kola is renowned for being a mental concentration enhancer. Gotu Kola contains anxiolytic properties that address feelings of anxiety and can relax the brain when it's in overdrive and cannot focus efficiently. Meadowsweet is gastroprotective / a gastric acid regulator and therefore may settle digestive upsets such as indigestion and may enhance digestive processes if they are weak or stagnant.

Peppermint can provide relief from flatulence, bloating, abdominal cramping, irritable bowel syndrome and indigestion. Peppermint may also improve cognitive performance, assist with concentration and the relief of an overactive mind. Peppermint may provide relief from respiratory congestion and may help fight infections. Peppermint can reduce feelings and symptoms of nausea.

Ginger has been traditionally used to alleviate nausea and its correlating symptoms. Ginger can be highly effective upon digestive upsets, abdominal pain, gas and may relieve excessive bloating. Ginger contains chemical components called gingerols. Gingerols are the main bioactive compound within ginger and contain powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to assist with our general health and wellbeing. Ginger has been shown to increase the flow of bile within our digestive tract. For this ginger may improve stagnant and sluggish digestive systems.

Calendula may assist with acne, eczema, dermatitis, mild burns and wounds. Calendula contains chemical components that provide wound healing activities, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties for topical uses. Jojoba oil may apply powerful healing properties upon the skin. Jojoba contains Vitamin A, D, E, omega 6 + 9 and a unique structure that mimics the oils in human skin. Jojoba oil may soothe and deeply nourish irritation upon the skin whilst also repairing ageing/prematurely ageing skin. The similarities between jojoba oil and the natural sebum humans produce allows the skin to retrieve other nutrients and minerals more readily and easily into the barrier, thus restoring the balance and health of our skin.

Dead Sea Salt
Derived from the the Dead Sea Lake located between Jordan and Israel, the Dead Sea is known for being the lowest point on Earth and for it's exhilarating healing powers. Individuals travel to the Dead Sea for hydrotherapy; a healing remedy for the recovery of damage to the body. Dead Sea salt contains magnesium, zinc, calcium, sodium, potassium and sulphur. These minerals may purify and unclog pores, soothe and calm irritated skin conditions, soothe sore joints and muscles, and replenish the skins moisture.

Himalayan Rock Salt
Himalayan rock salt contains antibacterial properties, thus being a vital ingredient in the the Rejuvenating Skin Soak for those hard to reach areas of the body where acne/breakouts occur. Himalayan salt may reduce itching feelings upon the skin and inflammation.
